great location, ideal for nightlife, shops, chemist, food, tour agents, internet cafes etc. hotel can hire you a bike or a car though stock is not that vast, so you may want to hiring elsewhere if they dont have what you want. as dont miss out going around the island.

- Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : hire a jeep to drive around the island... so many great sights... definately do to Ao Nang National Marine Park - day trip via speedboat - a must see!!

the montiem house hotel is in a great location, right on the beach and stepping stones away from chaweng beach road full of restaurants, bars, chemists, supermarkets, travel operators. The down sides being that trees and bushes are overgrwon so sunlight does not hit the rooms, or balconies so your bikini and shorts wet from the day do not dry!! Ah yes breakfast is not worth rushing down for... as it is left out for hours uncovered!!!

- Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : internet cafe at the top of the walk way to the hotel.... and the tour company opposite ''the islander'' is great..
