We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel, even though it was short. The grounds are vast and beautifully manicured. It felt like a tropical paradise. But if you like swimming in the ocean rather than the pool, you will be disappointed with the beach.
Things just seem to work in this hotel. Staff is very accomodating and uncomplicated. Quiet, but within 5 min walk to Fisherman's village where there are a lot of restaurants and bars. Pool was awesome.
The beach is really not one of the best - water not clear and the sand is not fine and white. Frogs everywhere. Pillows too large and overstuffed.

I was looking for a quiet place to stay and that is exactly what I found. The resort was really lovely in terms of decor, layout and the pools. The facilities are really good and they have a decent fitness center, a business center with PCs for Internet use, wireless complimentary Internet in the rooms as well as a good spa. Traveling on my own as a woman, I spent quite some time at the resort and took advantage of most of the facilities. Despite relatively low occupancy rates due to the time of year, the breakfast buffet was really impressive and I loved the fresh juices, fruits and Thai food station. The place also has a beach front and is only 15 minutes drive away from the busier Chaweng area. All in all I recommend the Bandara Resort.
Quiet, all you need to have for a pleasant stay is there. Good value for money with the special rate.
Room service was not very good. The meal was not good and the service was not convincing.

On arrival, all the staff warmly welcomed us. We were given cold ginger tea and frozen towels to cool off as we waited for our check in procedure to be completed. This was done on a gorgeous veranda overlooking a serene pool. The grounds are meticulously cared for and beautifully arranged. The food is outstanding with options for all palettes - thai and western or otherwise. The numerous pools are large and easy to use. The beach is filled with comfortable chairs. My guess is there are more chairs than guests as there is always one to be had. Both pool bars serve a variety of tropical drinks, soda, beer and good snacks. The breakfast buffet has more options than a stomach can handle. The staff is very accomodating to help make any plans one might have; to airport, restaurants, site seeing, etc. The rooms are very, very clean with ammenities and flowers as extras. There is a mini bar, TV and DVD player in each room. You can borrow DVD's from the library at the front desk. I will absolutely be back here again!
The resort is breath takingly landscaped, gorgeous and fragrant flowers everywhere. All the staff are very friendly and enjoy children of all ages. The breakfast buffet is full of many choices and delicious food.
No cons.
- Restaurant Tip : Walk along the beach in either direction to find great deals at local restaurants instead of paying 300 bhat to take a taxi to the busy town.
