Hotel is situated at the end of Ao Nang beach, approaching Noppharat beach. You would have the opportunity to walk the whole length of the shops along Ao Nang beach if you live here. Resort is easily accessible by public transportation. There's a bus that takes you straight to the airport for 150 baht per person. I must say the bus is really comfortable! Air conditioned and they have a designated area for luggage. The hotel has an impressive lobby, especially at night when the lights are lit. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. They were very obliging, which I think is their strongest point so far. However, the construction works going on across the street disturbs the peace with all sorts of machine noises. Breakfast was not fresh! I think this is totally unacceptable. There were insects swarming the cold cuts and fruits served. There were lots of mosquitoes as well. This is mainly due to the huge drain at the side of the hotel which separates them from the adjacent resort.

- Restaurant Tip : I-San restaurant located at the food court just 100m away from the hotel. Try their fresh coconut & coconut shake. It's out of this world.

The Buri Tara is a pleasant hotel built with a lot of care. One of the most accessible of a handful of similar hotel in the vicinity. Pleasant paved 5 minutes walk to the charming little tourist village where all tourist necessities are available. The public beach in Aonang is one of the most unspoiled I have seen in Thailand. Breakfast is simple affair with generous helpings.
But the construction next door is causing dusty hotel lobby and almost impossible to swim as there are many workers looking right down at the pool from next door. Noise ongoing till 10 at night, but not too bad if you close your curtains and windows.
Would return when construction completed.
Clean and simple lines.
On going construction is more severe than reported. Expect dusty hotel lobby and noise till 10pm at night.
- Shopping Tip : The moderate size mini mart just next door is impossibly expensive. Try the 7-11 nearby.
Travel size shampoo there sold at Baht49 compared to Baht 20 in 7-11. What a rip off.

The most hotel staff cannot speak English functionally so it was quite difficult for me to communicate with them when some requests were made. In terms of staff's service standard, considered OK but too far to be considered to the professional level. However if you want to stay in new and cleaness hotel, this hotel is the one you can chose but I suggest you brining ear plug in case you cannot cope with construction sound pollution.
Hotel facilities are considered to new
hotel surroundings are having construction projects building some hotels. The construction worker work until 23:00pm everyday.
- Restaurant Tip : I found one coffee shop named Black Canyon Coffee on the way to Beach from the hotel. They serve some varieties of nice coffee. It worths to try.
