Overall the resort was quite nice, there was construction going on during the day, which was a little annoying but not a show stopper. I picked the resort thinking they had kayaks available to use, but the only places to get kayaks were from rental companies in Ao nang. The only other downside was that the pool closed at 7 pm, kinda early. Great location for the price, very convenient to Ao nang and exploring the nearby islands and beaches.

Convenient, right near the beach, nice pool, and a really good breakfast buffet. Friendly staff, clean.

I like very much staying at ao nang villa resort, we had a great room and it was just next to the sea. The hotel personnel was smiling and helpful - that means a lot for us. They were very sorry for the noise from the renovation and gave us a free dinner - very nice. All in all it was very nice and we will stay there again.

The personnel was extremely kind, smiling, and very helpful.

The renovation did mess a lot and was loud.

Ao Nang Villa Resort consists of several wings, 3 stories high; stairs only. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. They were especially attentive in the restaurant, taking away used plates etc. Requests for assistance in our room were dealt with promptly. On our first night we were rather taken aback that we had to walk through puddles of water and use an umbrella to get to the restaurant. We did get used to it and the rain was refreshing. We were also bemused by the'salad bar' which consisted only of lettuce, tomato and cucumber. The grounds were pleasant, pool large enough to accommodate plenty of people. Renovations were under way while we were there but should be finished by the end of November. They didn't impact on our stay at all. Our room was clean, plenty large enough for my daughter, myself and all our messy luggage.It was serviced daily. There was an in-room DVD player which actually came in handy one day when we were feeling rotten with fresh colds. And there was a bottle opener in our room! No other hotel we stayed at in Thailand provided them in-room and it was rather difficult explaining what we wanted so wound up buying one to take with us.Tea & coffee making facilities were provided. The resort's airport pick-up service is expensive. We used the shuttle bus which only cost 150baht/person and was dead easy to catch even without prior knowledge of it. We also shopped aroung down the street for tours and the hiring a car & driver for a 1/2 or full day instead of booking at the resort. The mattresses are quite firm so be prepared. The beach is across the road from the resort restuarant.(It's ok to swim at high tide and if you go further down from where the longtail boat pick up area is.) We had requested a seaview room but didn't get it so not sure what this view would be like.There didn't really appear to be a lot of rooms that would actually have a seaview. Our room had it's own deck overlooking the pool.

Prompt service.Lots of smiles. Any requests for things to be fixed in the room ie blocked toilet, fresh beach towels, extra pillow were tended to very quickly. The staff were extremely attentive in the restaurant.

Not great having to walk through water and use an umbrella to get to restaurant when it's raining. Mattresses really were a bit too firm (& I dont mind a firm mattress). Breakfast could use more variety, especially Thai food. We found it too western orientated. The salad bar was quite odd..consisting of only lettuce, cucumber and tomato.
