Close to the way up to Doi Suthep, Doi Pui and Bhubing palace. Next to Central Shopping Center and easy access to shop and buy everything in there.
Absolutely miserable hotel and very dark inside, very gloomy atmosphere. Old architectural style, old fashion style, very hard to navigate around as it looks like an industrial complex or factory. No bath gel and hairdryer and remote for TV. Unfriendly staff who ignore you and they are lazy to explain everything upon check-in.

I have stayed here twice and will come back again. It must be the hotel using most wood for the interior and has the Thai look. Rooms are huge and cheap.
There is a night market just outside the hotel during weekends selling food and clothings etc.
Not far from all spas and massage parlors. Convenient to catch a car or tuk tuk to wherever you want to go. There are Starbucks, MK and multitude of restaurants next door at Pang Suan Kaew and you can get your stuff and food there.
Facilities are ok with a nice pool and gym. Suitable for businessmen, families or couples. Maybe not for very fuzzy people as it is not a 5 star hotel with tip top facilities.
Ample parking space and popular with tourists. If you need a very quiet place by yourself, then it's not suitable for you.
Next to shopping malls, near many restaurants, convenient transportation, big and clean, nice staff. Free transfer to night market
No buffet dinner during low seasons, charge for internet. Should have coffee making facilities.
- Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Night bazaar, Doi Suthep

Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is very large and has two receptions the second serving the new wing (where I was). The room was very nice with good view over mountains. Mini bar expensive (nothing new there) and took up a large part of the fridge but same items available in shopping centre which is accessed from the fourth floor of the new hotel wing. Nothing wrong with this hotel only minor niggles. Had a meal in one of the hotel's restaurants which was reasonable value for a good meal. The included breakfast choice was excellent. (as I say the hotel is big, to get to the breakfast room we had to go to hotel wing's lobby on the fourth floor then walk about 100 metres to the lifts for the main hotel and get a lift to the 1st floor however I didn't find this very much of a problem).
Well appointed large rooms, very close to major shopping centre and food court. Within walking distance of old city.
Minor points - Very large and for walkers entrance is rather obscure. Long way to breakfast room from new wing. Wish they provided electric jug and coffee/tea.
