The rooms are renovated from the former tobacco curing barns, decorated in a contemporary Lanna style with colonial-style teak wood, antique furniture. In the hotel's 20 acres of land you'll find a tropical green garden which makes this boutique resort perfect for an afternoon walk. Guests can also swim in the pool in the midst of the greenery or relax with a massage. Kaomai Lanna Hotel and Resort is the perfect place to spend your vacation. 18 old barns have been converted into 36 lively guestrooms in the peaceful garden that became known as Kaomai Lanna Resort. Guest Room
Looking at the rooms from the outside, one can see the roofs made of corrugated steel sheets and the old red-brick walls, unchanged throughout the past 50 years. Step inside, however, and you will enter a new world, as each room is equipped with modern facilities including a television, refrigerator and bathtub. The upper and lower level rooms are furnished in two unique ways: While guests on upper flowers will experience the Thai tradition of sleeping on a mattress set on a raised teak wooden floor, guests on the lowers floor will find their rooms furnished with authentic teak, wood antique beds.

Best time to go is December to February. It is the winter time. Also this resort supports charity activities. We bought a greeting card made by the kids from charity organization sold at this resort.
- Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : You can easily cycle to some of the nearest temples (huge sleeping Buddha) for some beautiful shots. After that, head back to the resort swimming pool. Next, try the Lanna Massage. It is great, with foot massage, steam ball, "hammering" and Thai style massage, 4-in-1 at just THB 850 for one hour.
