I would definitely recommend a few nights stay at this small boutique hotel. The service is outstanding and the food tops any fancy joint in the city. The amount to personalized hospitality make it worth the bucks. You will have to have transport to any attractions, but it's worth the drive. I will definitely stay there again next time I am in Chiang Mai.
This hotel was absolutely wonderful! I have never seen such personalized service and friendly staff in my life. The rooms are beautiful in decor, and the scenery is just as breath taking. Make sure you opt for the coffee at breakfast, you will remember it always.
In the middle of no-where, but this is why you stay there - to be away from the crowd.
- Shopping Tip : Do not try to walk on the busy highway/road leading to the hotel. Always get transport. We found it quite dangerous in the morning.

This was our favorite place that we stayed at in Thailand. The staff were very friendly and they bent over backwards to be helpful. The breakfast was excellent. We went during the slow season and we were the only ones there. But there are only 4 rooms anyway so this is a great place if you want something quiet. The design of the building and the furniture are really tasteful and unique. The place was very clean as well. Only drawback was that its a bit far from the city center, about a 10 minute taxi or tuk tuk ride, but really that was no problem.

- Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : If the hotel calls you a taxi its more expensive. Try to get your own metered taxi. Insist that the driver use the meter and don't let them try to charge more.
