I first visited the Rincome in 1974 when what is now a restaurant was a disco. Over the last six years I have stayed on four occasions, each time with friends or family. Without exception they have been as delighted as I have always been. The hotel pool area and surrounding garden is one of a kind in Chiangmai; the poolside service, as with the rest of the hotel, is first class. I would recommend this hotel highly to those with families, groups of young adults,as well as any individual wishing a quiet rest. First class, but not a first class price.
Very reasonably priced. Excellent, discreet service from well trained staff. Attractive room design. A pleasant bar, and two good restaurants.
None that come to mind.
- Restaurant Tip : The Hong Taeow, opposite the hotel, is a gem of a Thai restaurant, family run, and very reasonable.

We always stay at Amari Coral in Phuket so when our original hotel in Chiang Mai was not want we wanted, via trusty Agoda we booked the Amari. Both website and hotel are first class. The Amari did not fail us and it's location is quieter though still a tuk-tuk ride to anything you need. The rooms provide all you need and were always clean and well serviced. The staff remembered my individual choice of decaf coffee daily, which was a nice touch despite being busy and me not going to breakfast daily. They spoilt us and we'll stick to The Amari no matter where we are in the world: why fix it if it's not broken!!
Staff are wonderful and provide an individual service. Nicer area with all you need at your fingertips. You are left with wee souvenirs as daily gifts, nice touch!
Beds are always too hard in Asia! Spoilt Westerner hey!
- Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Found an excellent massage spa, close by and great prices: Rada Massage and Spa. Do yourself a favour and go for it!

The Amari Rincome is a fine hotel. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The beds are the best! As previously mentioned; the pool is really nice and tennis is also available. Many eating opportunities await within walking distance! Overall, a good hotel that I recommend and will return to in the future.
One of the best swimming pools in Chiang Mai
Location - many good restaurants and shopping venues nearby
Helpful, friendly staff
Cost - still overpriced for Chiang Mai; many other choices for far less money
The competitive room rate did NOT include breakfast!!
- Travel tip : Internet cafes are nearby to avoid high hotel usage cost!!
