This was our second stay in a month, this time for 2 nights. The room was pleasant, not as good as the room on our previous stay, but adequate. The bathroom was very small, which would be an inconvenience for a couple on a longer stay (no problem for a single). We had an incident on our second night when an overzealous security officer accused me of bringing a girl to my room (my wife is Asian) but the reaction of the staff and management to that incident was overwhelmingly positive and more than compensated for the insult and inconvenience. I mentioned the incident to demonstrate how good hotel management can overcome such problems. We will definitely stay here again.
Excellent location, pleasant room, first rate management.
Minor incident with overzealous security (handled superbly by management and staff), small bathroom.
- Shopping Tip : Opposite the wonderful Patpong street markets - be prepared to haggle, heavily!

I used to stay at this hotel when it was the Sheraton Bangkok, in the late 70s/early 80s. The bathroom looks the same, but seems to have aged well. We stayed only one night and I chose this hotel for its location which we were meeting friends for dinner nearby. I was not disappointed and I love the liveliness of the Patpong area. All in all the hotel seems well maintained with friendly staff. One small point, oddly, although were reserved as a couple, there was only one bathrobe and one pair of slippers, so perhaps their internal communications need to be improved. All in all, a good 8+ out of 10.
Good location, friendly staff, large well furnished room.
Nothing too negative, although the hotel is getting a little tired and I'd prefer a lower rate.
- Nightlife Tip : Right opposite Patpong ;)

You want the night life and hustle and bustle of Bangkok? this is the place to be. Hotel would be a little daunting to some because of its dark wood interior, look past this to the friendly and helpful staff and you are onto a winner. Rooms clean albeit a little on the compact size but not too small. Breakfast was very good as is Murphys restaurant next door but which is part of the hotel.
Position
Nothing springs to mind
- Travel tip : Murphys Restaurant for fish and chips, cooked by an English chef.
