St James is a very nice hotel. The proximity of the BTS metro is a big advantage. The staff is nice and helpful, rooms are large and clean.
Only little disappointment : the hotel offer for airport transport is too expensive : 1000 baths is 3 times the normal price for a taxi.

- Restaurant Tip : The restaurant with chinese noodles just 50 meters away from the hotel is really good.

The St James hotel is nicely located in the Sukhumvit area with close access to the sky train and the Emporium shopping center. It is a small hotel as compared to the near by big ones and as such offers a some what more personal service, Make sure when you check in that the room has a individual AC control and not just a central control. WiFi service is OK but remember that the nearby internet cafes offers the same service for a fraction of the price charged in the hotel.

The hotel is located very close to the sky train. Hence, making the traveling time to other places in Bangkok very easy. The staff of the hotel are very nice. The hotel itself is rather small, especially the swimming pool, but it is up to the standard for a short stay. The management staff should better plan when the renovation work should start because it was very noisy and annoying.
Good food, nice staff, above standard management.
It was under renovation. The hammering and drilling noise started around 0930 hours each day. It was annoying.
