We went back to the Mandarin on our return journey from New Zealand and the second time was as good as the first, even nicer bathroom. Staff were eager to help in any way. Didn't eat in the hotel so can't really give an opinion on that one. Nice large swimming pool area with again helpful staff.
Greeted nicely and shown to the reception.
Very clean.
Friendly service.
Nice leisure facilities (pool doesn't close till 10 p.m.).
Good all round, apart from I prefer a very soft pillow and the pillows, although fresh and clean, were like bricks.
- Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Botanic Gardens are excellent. Also worth a look is China Town and Little India.
Use the taxi service, very cheap and friendly taxi drivers.

Initially, i was going to stay in JW marriott but decided to extend my stay at the Grand Millennium. JW Marriott is a good hotel but the price is almost the double of what you pay here and i don't find much difference in terms of rooms or the services which they provide. I am more than happy at the Grand Millennium.
5 minutes walk to MRT and BTS (ASOK and Sukuhmvit)

In the past, I usually stay hotels on orchard but for the first time, i stayed at Marina Mandarin. I went in without too much expectation but to my surprise, I was quite impressed with the room they provided. The room was spacious and clean. I never liked the hotels at the orchard because rooms are run-down and you don't get your money's worth. In comparison, this hotel is much better.
