Reasonable for a poorly maintained old facility that is in great need of complete revamp. Some staff were helpful and some were rude.

My stay at Chinatown Hotel was cut short due to my disatisfaction of the hotel. The room was tiny, there was a distinct bad smell in the corridor, there was no one assisting with baggage, there was no breakfast, therefore no room service. There was limited tea making facilities, the window was boarded up AND it was vastly overpriced. How is this place still in business? There are plenty of hotels that are far better value for money, even near to the `expensive` area of Orchard Road. Don`t pick this place based on the photos; they really have been clever and are highly misleading.

Liked the location, lot of very attractive buildings around us. Was surprised at how small the rooms were but at least they were clean. Would have liked internet access in my room.

Good transport links to get you around the city. There are also shops and restaurants scattered around the hotel. I liked the atmosphere of the hotel. Bit colonial in the best sense.

For a budget hotel this scores high in my book. Friendly with excellent facilities. Close to Orchard Road which is a bonus.
