Staff were excellent. They were extremely polite and helpful. I felt embarrassed with my lack of Chinese. Room was kept spotless. The hotel itself was positioned well for all amenities and the courtesy bus kept good time keeping. The best of all were the breakfasts. The staff in the morning were very friendly and the food was great. I tried many different types of food. I would recommend this hotel. First class friendly and comfortable services.

My trip to Macau last June, 2007, has been a memorable one thanks in part to the fact that I stayed in the MetroPark Hotel. The hotel is in a very good location. Right across from it is a 7-eleven and a grocery store just in case you need anything a person can need from a grocery store. Walk to the corner and you have an ATM for all your shopping needs. A little further and you`re at the bus stop where you can take the necessary bus to take you wherever you need to go. Breakfast is amazing - they actually change some of their morning offerings which is a welcome change compared to some of the hotels that I`ve stayed in who keep serving the same thing over and over again. The only hitch in this hotel is, if you don`t know how to speak Chinese, you`ll have a hard time communicating with the majority of the hotel staff. The hotel is still worth staying in - forget Wynn, go to MetroPark. You get more bang for your buck.

The hotel is in quite a centralised location. The bus services are just round the corner and you can use them to get around easily. All guests are provided only free 15mins internet access at the front desk. The breakfast was ok with some variety in the food. The hotel room is generally clean and non-smoking floors are available. The hotel also provides a free bus service to and from the ferry station. Overall the hotel is satisfactory for the price.

My sister and I spent a weekend at Metropark Hotel Macau. The location is quite convenient, take a bus to Senado Square where more of the Macao Heritage is in walking distance. If anyone`s interested in Casinos, the surrounding area has a Casino.
The breakfast is delicious with Dim Sum and Western meals. The hotel also has a free shuttle bus from the hotel to the ferry terminal.

I wasn`t thrilled with the metropark, and wouldn`t recommend it. The room was big, but it didn`t have a clean feeling about it. The air conditioning was awful and would swap from freezing cold (under 15 degrees C) to hot and humid in the middle of the night. The view from our room was of an apartment block no more than 15-20m away, so we never had our curtains open. The buffet breakfast had a wide variety of choice, but I would not stay here again.

Macau is worth more than just a day visit, (especially for the older bits) and you have to stay somewhere, so the Metropark is not a bad mid-range option. It is fairly centrally located a brisk walk from lots of attractions (eg Senado square), but taxis and buses pass frequently.
Because it serves mainly a mainland Chinese clientele, if you don`t get a room on one of the three non-smoking floors, you will find your room (and the hotel generally) have quite a strong tobacco smell. Apart from this, rooms are clean, well maintained, and quite sizeable (eg. kingsize bed). The buffet breakfasts are adequate without being spectacular, and available up to 10.30am.
Internet access at the ground level Business Centre costs $HK60 per hour, but is readily available. The fitness centre and indoor swimming pool are smallish but nice, although for most Western guests, it will be a mystery why the pool doesn`t open until 9am. The staff are helpful and fairly fluent in English.

This hotel is very well situated in the centre of Macau without the noise, accept the for the other quests who consist mainly of mainland Chinese on package tours & tend to be a little on the loud side. One had to opt for a late breakfast as they tend to swamp the dining room. Buffet breakfast was very good though. The English China Daily was also available in the dining room.
My double room with a deep bath was very tasteful, but you need to be above the 21st floor to get a view or you could be looking into an appartment block window!
Checking out was good, & there is a FREE shuttle bus from the Macau ferry which runs every half an hour. Just head out to the hotel bus area, though there is NO sign for the hotel`s bus. If you come from the airport, get the AP1 bus for just 3.3mop, or a taxi will cost around 80mop!
The hotel has a nice, heated, if somewhat small indoor s/p, a sauna & steam room, plus fitness gym.

The Metropark Macau was fine but it was not a four-star hotel by my standards. It is more like a nice three-star hotel. I would stay there again because of the reasonable price and good location. It is close to the casinos and an acceptable distance to walk to the historic district. They have a nice breakfast buffet.
